30 in 30 for November

Haven't posted here in months.  Mainly because I've been updating my thoughts and annotations on Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons's landmark book, Watchmen, daily over at Reading Watchmen

Anyway.  I'm a member of Andy Schmidt's Comics Experience online creators' workshop, which is a great resource for anyone who has a desire to learn about writing or drawing for comics.  For those unaware, Schmidt was an editor for Marvel (most significantly guiding the resurgence in its cosmic line with Annihilation and subsequent series) and a senior editor at IDW before recently moving to Hasbro.

This month, as a group, many of the members are attempting to read (and write about) 30 graphic novels or comic storylines in the 30 days of November.  Since the workshop is a place for creators to practice their creativity, we are approaching these comics with a focus on what lessons we can take away from them.

With that in mind, I'll be posting my capsule reviews for those 30 books here, not only to get this blog up and running again but also to share my thoughts on some books you may not have read before.

So, let the fun begin!
